Susan L. Williams LPC
I obtained a BA in Psychology, a BA in Sociology, and a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of West Georgia. My career began as a 4th-grade teacher, where I discovered I was particularly drawn to under-served children with emotional/social functioning problems. I left teaching and began working for a private social service company providing in-home services to families with children in the foster care system. That experience led me to become a Certified Guidance Counselor so that I could work with kids in the high school setting, and later I obtained my license to practice as a Professional Counselor in the community setting. I have been in private practice in Carrollton now for many years, and have served all ages and stages of development. I continue to research and find better ways to serve my clients, and I love the work that I do.
